Twin Lakes Sunrise

from $40.00
sale

Rinker Peak towering over Twin Lakes.

I wasn’t sure if this photo attempt was going to happen. It meant a 5am wakeup call, one hour drive in sketchy dark mountain conditions to a location I had never scouted, then drive an hour back to Copper Mountain where I was staying for the weekend and still wanted to snowboard that day only to drive an hour and a half home to close out the day. It sounded like a long day and I wasn’t sure if I had its in me to pull it off.

But, my wife (unknowingly) who was 80 miles away at home with the kids put a little fire in me the night before when she asked if I was going to do this or not. I had to. I was already so close, and you never know when an opportunity like this might come again.

It was -3 that morning and I scrambled to find the perfect location before the alpenglow popped. I’m stoked with how this image played out and will be forever grateful in making this adventure happen.

This premium print is available print only, or wrapped in a custom matte black frame to enhance any wall in your home or office! (please note… frame adds approx 3-6” to width and height)
